This is sent to us by the Sharon White
for County Commissioner campaign …
Sharon White believes that the
Board of County Commissioners
MUST:
• Live within its means and stop overspending
• Treat all county residents fairly – No Special Privileges
• Bring all interested parties to the table for fair solutions for all – not just a select few
• Take more action, and less costly, endless “studies”
• Stand up for property rights
• Adhere to principles before politics
Sharon’s campaign notes that on the issue of state interference with private water rights, and the 3 years of meetings with the County, Commissioner Lee Grose explained his 3 year “absence” this way:
“Grose … said he was told at the beginning of his term that the planning meetings weren’t crucial to attend. ‘Was I temporarily asleep at the wheel? Yes,’ he said. ‘Because I was told it wasn’t important. Most of the meeting stuff is handled by staff,’ he continued. ‘I don’t have the time or knowledge to handle all of this stuff. It took me three years to get a handle on this.’” The Chronicle newspaper, Page 1 story, July 13, 2010.
Sharon White won’t be “asleep at the wheel” when it comes to your property rights and your concerns as a taxpayer!
Email sharonforlewiscounty@gmail.com ON THE WEB! www.sharonwhitecommissioner.comThe Great Recession wasn’t a depression, thanks to federal stimulus efforts.
That conclusion flows from the first major, independent analysis of recent fiscal and monetary policies — such as the bank bailouts, the home-buyers tax credit and Cash for Clunkers stimulus program. “The stimulus has done what it was supposed to do: end the Great Recession and spur recovery,” wrote Alan Blinder, a professor of economics at Princeton University, and Mark Zandi, chief economist for Moody’s Analytics. Andy Griffith’s excellent public service announcement supporting Health Care Reform and educating seniors on its effects … Golly, thanks Andy!!!: http://tinyurl.com/22wnrrp
Senator Ben Nelson of Nebraska, still unsure of his political party, plans to vote no on the Kagan nomination because she hasn’t been a Judge before … too bad he wasn’t there to vote against other non-judges like John Marshall, Louis Brandeis, Earl Warren, and Lewis Powell: http://voices.washingtonpost.com/44/2010/07/ben-nelson-first-democrat-to-v.html
Dino Rossi … and the hits just keep on coming as he slings mud, discovers he’s wrong, and still won’t own up to it! “Rossi claim of Murray unemployment flip flop… flops” http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/politicsnorthwest/2012421934_rossi_claim_of_murray_flip_flo.html. Despite our Democratic affiliations, we think Dino needs a hand … Dear Dino, perhaps a new slogan would help – we suggest these two:
Dino Rossi … he needs a job, so don’t let this election be Strike 3
Dino Rossi … the political gift that keeps on giving (to Democrats)
Patty Murray’s back on top in the polls! http://blog.seattlepi.com/seattlepolitics/archives/216335.asp?from=blog_last3

JULY MEETING RECAP
Although Denny Heck wasn’t able to join us due to a last minute change, we did have a great candidate forum with STEVE MANSFIELD (Sheriff), both candidates for Prosecutor (JONATHAN MEYER & MICHAEL GOLDEN) and WARREN McLEOD (Coroner). The group of PCOs and Democratic attendees participated throughout and we also discussed the Treasurer’s Report, the Heck/Sharon White/Murray/Corinne Tobeck races, SWW Fair Booth, Parades and other matters of import.
